About the Owner:

Dr. Tyrone Corlew is a high school principal who has served in North Carolina schools for more than 28 years. His journey began as a substitute teacher and he has climbed through the ranks and has served as a teacher, coach of many sports, athletic director, Dean of Students, middle and high school assistant principal, as a middle school principal and now he currently serves as a high school principal. While his primary strength is well documented with data driven instruction and high graduation rates, he is also a gifted motivational speaker. What Dr. Corlew enjoys the most is building relationships with students and changing lives. By changing the life of just one student, educators are able to change generations of lives for both students and their families. Teachers and administrators have the ability to move people from poverty to prosperity through reaching our scholars and motivating them to succeed despite the barriers that life is guaranteed to place in front of them. The primary goal is to make a positive difference in the life of every student, every day. Students do not care how much you know until they know how much you care! When educators get a firm grasp and understanding of the aforementioned statement, they will completely understand WHY you must “Reach Them Before You Teach Them.”
